Along with so many other British annual institutions, Glastonbury has sadly been cancelled due to the pandemic. Unsurprising given the huge numbers of people who make their annual pilgrimage to Worthy Farm in Somerset particularly this year as the Festival celebrates its 50th year. The idea of sticking to the '1 metre plus rule' in those numbers and when getting lost in the music and the moment is frankly inconceivable. The BBC are currently deciding on their broadcasting line up to bring golden moments from past years so we can enjoy #GlastoAtHome.
Festival fashion has always been a big thing driven not least by the need of practicality when slipping and sliding through the muddy British fields, sleeping in a tent with limited privacy and washing facilities. So we have put together a festival bingo card aka your virtual rucksack packing list.

It's so easy to fall in to the trap of dressing as if every day is the weekend; living in loungewear and wondering whether it is too early to open a bottle of wine. And that is fine, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. However, there is definitely some truth in how your outfit determines your mood and when the days can so easily blur in to one another we feel it is important to mark a difference between them. At least then we know when it actually is the weekend!
Whether you are working from home, taking on the role of teacher or staying in and staying safe, there is no reason not to stay stylish. Our solution? A selection of off-duty staples, easy separates and colour coded layers.
Texture is the name of the game this season. Juxtaposing chunky knits with slinky silk skirts; luxuriously soft cashmere with heavy duty leather and feminine sparkle with every day denim is all the rage. Basically, anything goes. It's almost fair to say, the stronger the textural or pattern contrast the better.
With this very much in mind we have designed jumpers to suit all occasions and styles this season. From chunky ribbed knits to luxurious cashmere layering pieces, this season's knits form the basic building blocks for endless combinations.

It is very easy to compartmentalise our wardrobe particularly in the effort of saving space and to pack away our winter woolies with the promise of warmer times and vice versa. Jumpers being a prime example of this.
Maybe it is a statement we make to convince ourselves that summer equals warmth. Although how many times are we caught short when the weather doesn't quite conform to our childlike description of the seasons? I, for one, never pack away my jumpers and definitely want them easily accessible throughout the year.

Blue and all its hues (oh, I do love a rhyme!) is at the forefront of our minds at the moment. Not least because of the glorious bluebells carpeting our woodland but also because of the exciting arrival of Baby Sussex, Archie. Are Royal baby boys double blue?
We make no secret of the fact that blue is close to our hearts here at Cove. Navy, denim, royal, powder, cornflower and cobalt to name but a few are a collection staple. Blue is a chameleon of colours and with its various different shades there is a colour that suits all skin types, ages and colours.
